We are thrilled to announce that our Ballet Conditioning program is continuing for Term 3 online.
We have two classes per week, to allow for flexibility (pardon the pun).
There are many changes occurring during this time. Some studios are returning back to face to face classes and others are not. We want to ensure you are consistent with ballet specific strengthening as it is extremely important to reduce the risk of developing any dance related injuries.
This class is specifically designed for those dancers who are currently in a part-time or full-time ballet program.
You will work on the fine control of your deep muscles in order to support your ballet technique. This will include activation and dynamic control of deep abdominal/core muscles, true turnout control and intrinsic foot muscle strength as well as upper body work for port de bras and cambre lines.
Towards the end of the year, you will be encouraged to develop your own program specifically for your body and areas of your technique that need some love. This program will translate into your repertoire work for end of year performances where we will encourage you to analyse your choreography and look for areas you that you may need to focus on to build your strength so that you can complete your performance work safely and injury free.
