A Day in The Life

DAY IN THE LIFE

Written by our lovely Year 10 work experience student: Mandy

This week Tessa and I completed our work experience at Performance Medicine. This work place was very welcoming and amazingly positive 🙂
When you walk into Performance Medicine you are greeted with a warm smile from front desk while catching a glimpse of a challenging Pilates class occurring in the next room. Soon you will be referred to a Myotherapist, Physiotherapist, Remedial Massage Therapist or whichever is suited to your needs.
The Performance Medicine Team are equipped to handle all patients, but I observed clientele often include many different types of performers from dancers to singers to students to international musical stars. There are also athletes, professional and amateur, Southbank and CBD locals and everything in between.
In a session with one of the cheerful Physios, your every need will be looked after, and every concern taken into consideration. Depending on the case, you might receive myotherapy and remedial massage, lymphatic drainage, real time ultrasounds, dry needling, clinical and reformer Pilates and any necessary treatment for your injuries. At Performance Medicine they are always determined to help in any way possible continuously going out of their way for patients as I have seen over this week as a student observer.
