Letitia Reus is a physiotherapist with a strong interest in treating athletes and those in the performing arts. With an understanding of performers, supporting many professional performers in musicals in Sydney.
Graduating with a Masters of Physiotherapy from The University of Sydney after previously being awarded Honours in her Bachelor of Health Science degree, also from The University of Sydney. During her undergraduate degree Letitia developed a passion for skill acquisition leading her to conduct an Honours research project looking into the ways we can practice a complex dance skill to influence mastery. Letitia was recognised for her novel contribution to this field and was selected to present her research at the 2014 International Association of Dance Medicine conference in Basel Switzerland.
It was her background in dance growing up that led her to complete a full-time dance training year where Letitia was exposed to the demands of training and performance schedules among the artistic population. This encouraged Letitia to work alongside dancers across all ages to help empower them with knowledge and awareness on injury prevention and conditioning.
With her keen interest in exercise and rehabilitation Letitia went on to complete her Pilates certification series with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI). Letitia has been providing Pilates to the Wests Tigers NRL team over the last 2 years working with players returning from injury, improving on-field performance and to help reduce overall injury.
Letitia is also a Certified Lymphoedema Practitioner, completing further training at Macquarie University.
Outside of work Letitia enjoys ocean swimming, caring for her many indoor plants, training at the gym and reading a good book.
