Elliot Meers (he/him) is a passionate and highly experienced physiotherapist who has worked with athletes across a variety of sports for over 10 years. Meticulously refining his clinical reasoning and problem solving skills, Elliot accurately diagnoses and manages a diverse range of musculoskeletal and sporting injuries. Elliot maintains a particular interest in lower limb rehabilitation (hip, knee ankle), running and shoulder injuries.
In 2015, Elliot graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) and is currently completing a Masters of Sports Physiotherapy at The University of Queensland. Elliot has extensive experience working with Rugby, Football & Basketball Clubs. Additionally, he has worked with athletes in swimming, water polo, athletics, rowing and AFL.
Elliot is currently serving on the NSW APA Sports and Exercise committee. You will regularly find him tutoring on the Level 1 and 2 APA Sports Physiotherapy courses.
Manual therapy, exercise-based rehabilitation and exceptional communication skills are fundamental to Elliot’s practice. Through providing clear explanations to patients, he develops effective management plans to ensure patients return to performing at their best. Elliot regularly collaborates with Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeons, Sports and Exercise Physicians and General Practitioners to ensure his patients receive the highest quality care.
Outside of work, Elliot enjoys keeping active with regular gym and running sessions. He relishes his downtime by indulging in exceptional coffee, fine wine paired with gourmet cheese and a good book.
