Post-Operative Rehabilitation

We are here for you with

Post-Operative Rehabilitation to support you!

All orthopaedic surgeries require rehabilitation to assist your recovery from surgery. With our Post Operative Rehabilitation one of our Physiotherapist will guide and progress activity levels without compromising the surgery just undertaken.

After surgery there is often pain and swelling. It is important that these are controlled immediately to minimise any negative impact on the surrounding muscles. This can prevent compensatory muscle and biomechanical activities developing, leading to other injuries and issues.

Our Physiotherapists will work in conjunction with your surgeon and their wishes to ensure a safe and appropriate return to activity.

Your treatment will involve

  • Swelling and pain management strategies
  • Biomechanical retraining
  • Strengthening
  • Ultimately a return to your chosen activity!
